The W. P. Carey School of Business is officially launching a new degree program — the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence in Business (MS-AIB).

Why is there so much poverty in America? That question was asked Monday by Matthew Desmond, the Maurice P. During Professor of Sociology at Princeton University and the author of the 2016 Pulitzer Prize-winning book “Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City.” Desmond, who is also an ASU alum, delivered the university's annual John P. Frank Memorial Lecture in downtown Phoenix on March 25.

At ASU, a university that continues to hold the No. 1 spot in innovation, the humanities are at the forefront of explorations of AI. To wit: AI will be soon — or already has been — incorporated into many Department of English courses and initiatives in a meaningful way.
